::sigh:: I didn't get to watch it Dress Rehearsal for Damn Yankees last night. So my usually on predictions'll have to wait til' the damn (literally) show is over. Sorry if the pun is inapprorpriate, I get a kick out of myself.

I'm an idiot...after posting, I meant to vote, but then I closed the notepad doc I used to save the phone numbers for the contestants so I didn't get to vote...and I got home late tonight because of work/going to the gym...does anybody by chance know who advanced to the next round?

Here's my review of the wildcard episode of "American Idol..."
I liked many of the performances. It seems like there were recorded backup singers in a few of the songs. And there was more than just piano background which was different from the other shows...
Here's where my votes are going tonight:
1. Kimberly Caldwell: she was the first to go tonight and sang "I Feel the Earth Move" from Carole King's "Tapestry" album. The judges didn't like her song choice, but it's one of my favorites and Kimberly just came out and exploded onto the stage to start the show...I thought she did a great job...and she's hot!!!
2. Clay Aiken: he followed Kimberly and sang "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me." The judges and I agreed that he did a great job. He's a good singer and a good performer. He probably won't end up winning this thing, but maybe he'll find his way onto an episode of "Angel" like I suggested earlier.
3. Trenyce: she was the last one tonight and sang "Let's Stay Together." She has a really powerful voice and put on an energetic performance...
4. Nasheka: Will you marry me?

So here are the results from the wildcard show:
Randy voted Kimberly Caldwell to the next round
Paula voted in Trenyce
Simon picked Carmen Rasmusen
America voted for Clay Aiken.
I was pretty happy with the choices for the most part. I was surprised by Simon's pick. Last night he said Carmen wasn't good enough, and now goes 180 and moves her on...it's obvious there's only one reason he picked her and that's because of her looks. If you ask me, Nasheka's hotter...oh, by the way, that marriage proposal from my last post is still open

I was feeling kind of left out because I didn't see last season's "American Idol" so I relied on my friends at Kazza to hook me up...I found a video for all of Kelly Clarkson's performances and here's what I have to say about that:
WOW! She's a really good singer and a great performer...she did wonderfully in front of the live audiences...
I think that's the format for the rest of this season starting next week, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes.
Anybody have any predictions on who's going to win it this year? Or at least guess on the final 2?

I'm not too good with final predictions, but I'm gonna go with... Ruben and... Kimberly. Yeah, either Kimberly. I can't decide, lol.

I'm looking for Julia (CT girl) or Kimberly Caldwell (the blonde girl) to win it...maybe Josh (military guy) and Clay will sneak into the top 4.
