I heard Ashlee Simpson tried out this year...but Simon, Randy, Paula, and even special guest judge William Hung all booed her off the stage...at one point, Simon was quoted as saying, "even Cordelia Chase sang better than you do. You have made me dislike music altogether!!"
Seacrest was overheard back stage saying something to the effect of, "I thought this American Idol thing would be a *great* deal. But look what I got stuck with! 'La La!' 'Punchy fruity drinky!' Is Ashlee even from this planet?"
Apparently Simpson made it onto the show after the first AI winner Kelly Clarkson discovered the girl during the half-time show of a college football game. Immediately after Simpson began her performance, Clarkson was on the phone with Nigel Lithgow. That conversation purportedly went something like this:
Kelly: Yo, slut, I just found some girl that would make that 'Like a Virgin' guy seem like Madonna in comparison.
Nigel: No f*in' way. Nobody can be that f*in' bad.
Kelly: Fine, don't believe me slut. Listen for yourself. [holds phone up towards the stage]
Nigel: Wholly f*in' shiite. Get her! Get her for the show no matter what you have to do. Tell her she's great. tell her she's the best singer you've ever heard in your life. Tell her we want her on a national talent show. Tell her we'll make her rich and famous. I don't care. Just get her on board. I've been trying to get Simon to quit for the longest time. Nish, when i first read this i was like wtf? then i started to realize it was a joke! lol i enjoyed it and i liked the articles they were pretty good. especially that ashlee simpson just sucks. jessica on the other hand is actually good. i've seen her live and she synched most of it, but she did do some live and it was good

Well, i just got done watchin the past 2 days and i have to say that i particularly enjoyed the black girl with the big froey hair with the blonde in it and then i liked the girl with braces and like the net lol her talking voice reminds me of a friend of mine lol there was a guy last night that was impressive, but i cant remember anything about him lol

I enjoy Constantine myself, so it's all good. They showed Anthony in the preview for next week's episode, so... color me giddy. I wish they would've focused less on the drama and more on the singers singing, though. 'Cause I have too many blanks as to who's moving on and all.

I watch it here and there, but they show it way too often and I'm not much into the crappy singer shows...I'll wait until the real competition begins before I really watch again.
And I may be watching USA Network's AI opponent "Nashville Star" to see how that is. They'll start airing the new season sometime in March and I think it will air at the same time as AI. It will be hosted this year by Busta Rhymes' sister

Yeah, but she and Charisma kind of reversed paths...Charisma was born in Las Vegas and moved to LA to work. Amanda was born and raised in LA, and then became a Vegas girl.
I also like that Lindsey Cardinale girl. Nobody's really annoyed me yet, but that manic-depressive girl (Mikalah) kind of scared me on last night's show. But I guess I can make some more opinions next week when I actually start watching for real.

Okay, see Court, I didn't abandon you in the AI saga...I watched tonight's episode, but I also have a pretty bad head cold and I can't hear anything out of my left ear because I'm so congested, so it made the show a bit difficult to watch...actually, I was probably lucky since I wasn't able to fully appreciate how bad some of the singers were
I did put 2 votes in, one for Bo Bice and one for Anwar Robinson. Didn't much care for most of the others...

Tonight's episode was more enjoyable (for me at least) than last night. I didn't get to vote since I taped the show and by the time I finished watching the polls had closed. But had I had the chance to vote, I'd probably go with:
1. Vonzie for her energetic performance
2. Amanda. Simon better stop hitting on MY girlfriend . Hope she can do some better singing next time, but god freakin' hotty damn...I can actually see her as an actress...
3. Lindsey Cardinale...she kind of reminds me a bit of Julia from a few seasons back. Nice sultry voice and quite a cutie too.

Vonzell (that's the fro lady right?) I love Carrie Underwood. i love her to death she's amazing! just really blows me away. and i dunno if i liked aloha or not. i was kinda sidetracked by her lack of bra and too short dress... she looked bad... good job, but bad look. i missed some of the performances because of someone coming in and my one roommate not shutting his [censored] mouth... i'm ready to flip [censored] on him... he definitely pissed me off tonight. i bitched him out hardcore.

So the first cuts were made...Melinda Lira and Sarah Mather on the X end. Jared Yates and Judd Harris on the Y side.
No complaints from me...just keep my Amanda and Lindsey going strong and I'll be a happy camper.

On a side, does anybody know what Amanda's background is? She looks like she's either Italian or Spanish.
I found Amanda Avila's bio on the "Star Search" website which lists "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" as one of her favorite tv shows. Amanda admits on her bio on the "American Idol" website that she is "a big dork." Umm...I love this girl...Is it too early in the relationship for me to propose marriage? Will you marry me Amanda??

She's just a total sweetheart. I had to aww when she was the first to give Judd a goodbye hug. So adorable. Yeah, Mario, Vonzell, Aloha, Anthony, Constantine and Amanda are all cool for now, so... yeah.

I just spent the last hour watching American Idol, and the great part is that's how long it took me to watch last night's show and tonight's as well thanks to my handy dandy VCR.
A couple of weeks in and I think I've come up with my favorites for the year. I don't like most of the guys; Anwar's the only one I've liked 2 weeks out. The judges said Bo did a great job or whatever but I didn't get it. The girls on the other hand, were much more fun to watch...probably because they're more fun to look at Especially my fiance...yeah, Amanda called me up after my last post and agreed to marry me 
I'm also voting for Lindsey, Vonzie, and I may even jump on the Carrie bandwagon one of these days...Simon said he's already picked his winner, and I'm guessing that's Carrie.

I loved Lindsey's singing of "The Woman in Me" awhile back...as Randy would say, I was feelin' her, dude. And I'm sure she would reply to me the same way your buddy JP Lewis did to Randy last year, I don't know if I want you feelin' me...either that or she'd just slug me and be done with it 
But at least we agree on one thing that Vonzell is good. Oh, two things...that Amanda is mmmmmmm....

If it'll make ya happy I won't give my opinion about the show, seeing that I actually gave it a chance for merit even after all my ranting and raving.
I said "oh, a rock-star-type-guy" EXPECTING to hear some raucous yelling and death metal awesome headbanging tune, but NO, it wasn't what I expected....so I PERSONALLY wasn't impressed.

I dunno, if those people who run the show would broaden their horizons, there would be a much bigger fan base watching the show....I for one would be a regular....IF they would allow people to go up before them judge type people and bust out some Nine Inch Nails....I mean give me a break, they make it like fruity pop/soul/whatever is the only type of music out there.

Carrie was FINALLY fun to watch again...
Bo was probably the best again this week...
Vonzell was somewhere between okay-good so I hope she survives to next week...I'm still rooting for her to win...go Vonzie

It was simple reverse psychology...people kept voting for the fat bastard 'cause they felt sorry for him since Simon was being so mean to him 
So he did the exact opposite and just complimented him  to take the sympathy factor away...worked like a charm  'cause Scotty's now

A bit of a disappointing final episode...I liked Bo's first song but the rest was fairly dull...I wish I liked Carrie's singing more than I do 'cause, "how you doin'!?" Bo's probably the better singer out of the two...but he's probably all set after the exposure on this show, he's got something coming his way regardless of who wins. So I voted for Carrie...I'd rather SEE her on the talk-show circuit
The show's been hyping Carrie as a country star but I think if you put a cowboy hat on Bo's head, he'd be a better country singer than Carrie
