Man, this place really is dead. Charisma appears in the latest Veronica Mars and nobody has a thing to say about it.
There was a fair amount of backstory filled in on Kendall's past. The answer to "what was in the box?" turned out to be huge wads of cash. I was hoping for a box of furry handcuffs, but I guess cash is OK  . Keith stood up Veronica, to help Kendall hide from someone who wanted to kill her, in exchange for a chunk of the cash. Part of that cash was used to buy Veronica a new car, so it was a LOT of cash.
OK, her actual scenes last a total of 25 seconds, and she's only visble for 15 of those, but there was the big shocker:

Her character Kendall was apparently killed. I say apparently because they don't show the body and she was shot by her boyfriend. I think it might be a cover for a larger scam. I hope she isn't dead because, unlike Buffy and Angel, dead means she will never appear again.

I just saw it and for some reason I didn't get the first 20 minutes recorded...that was probably the bulk of Charisma's 25 seconds of on-screen time since I only saw her for about 7 seconds

Actually you saw it all. She only appears in the last 5 minutes. She runs out of the cabin and jumps into her boyfriend's arms. Later she tries to explain where she is going next (with sand and water) and that's it. I forgot to tape it at all  and had to download it from usenet. At least that made it easier to time her parts  .

If they killed off the character it really blows.
Supposedly she is pals with Rob Thomas' wife so maybe it was a scam.
As was noted we didn't see a bloody corpse.

yes, I'm missing posts about her too.
VM does not air here in the netherlands, so I could only follow her ('story') by the CC-cutout clips and captures that got posted/linked from here (and other places)
But I haven't seen much of them since this episode, does that meen the show is not on the air now, she doesn't appear anymore?

Veronica Mars is still airing. It is about 2/3 to 3/4 of the way through the third season. There has been no reference to Kendall since this first episode of the season. It appears that she is dead and Charisma will have to find other roles.
Charisma not appearing anywhere is why it is so dead here. If she gets another recurring role, in a quality TV show like Buffy, Angel, or Veronica Mars, things will pick up again. I'm sure she's happy spending more time with her son, but I'd be happier if he was a little more neglected  .
